Staph or Staphylococcus is a bacterium which causes many infections in the human body. It is present on the surface of the skin and nose but it is harmless. They make a cut through which pus drains out. After draining the pus he cleans the area with an antibacterial cleanser and applies ointment and covers it with bandage. He changes the bandage from time to time. At times pain relievers are also prescribed by the doctor to reduce pain.
Apart from this one should follow cleanliness so that the spread of infection should be prevented. One should not touch the infected skin. If someone is suffering from infection then he should not share his towel, bed sheet or clothes till the infection is fully cured.
