What is the Natural Treatment for Eye Heat Boils?
The onset of summers usually causes heat boils. The heat boils can occur on any part of the body either in a cluster or as a single boil. The layman often associates these boils with the heat of the summers. However, these boils are not caused due to the heat. They are bacterial infections that occur due to the following reasons:
- A higher prevalence of the Staphylococci or Streptococci bacteria that are the causative microorganisms.
- Excessive sweating
- Poor hygiene.
Sometimes such boils can occur near the eye. In such a case one should make it a point to leave them untouched. Some people try to make desperate attempts to get rid of them. They try to squeeze the boils oblivious of the fact that this can do more harm than good. Such a harsh way of dealing with the boils can not only lead to more boils but also spread the infection into the blood stream by the undue pressure that is applied on them.
The safe and natural remedies that help in curing the eye heat boils are as follows:
- Soak a washcloth in warm water and place it over the eye heat boil after wringing it. When it cools down dip it into warm water and place it over the boil again. This warm compression speeds up the recovery process by drawing more blood and thereby more white blood corpuscles towards the eye heat boil.
- A paste of milk and bread can be made by soaking a piece of bread in hot milk and mashing it into a paste. This paste should be placed over the eye heat boil and covered with a band-aid. The paste should be left overnight for best results.
- A handful of neem leaves should be boiled in half a liter of water till the water reduces to 1/3rd of its original quantity. This solution can be applied over the eye heat boil by dipping a cotton ball into it.
In order to prevent the irritating eye heat boils one should avoid exposing the skin directly to the sun during summers.
