Tips to Deal with Brest Boils while Breastfeeding

The cornified layer of the skin which is the most superficial one minimizes evaporation from the skin and prevents the entry of bacteria. However, sometimes the bacteria get an opportunity to invade the body through minor cuts and cause boils.

• A hot compress on the affected area before and after each feed can provide relief to the mother. For this a cloth soaked in hot water can be wrung out and applied over the boil.
